WHERE DO WE MINISTER?

ŸRed dots represent the most unreached people groups in the world

THE 10/40 WINDOW

The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia approximately between 10 degrees and 40 degrees north latitude of the equator. This area is known to have the most people concentrated in the world with two characteristics: 1. physically impoverished and, 2. spiritually having the least access to the Gospel.

AFRICA – THE MOST UNENGAGED UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUPS

Africa has the most unreached people groups that do not have any missions organization reaching them nor one single Scripture verse in their heart language. By continent, Africa: 790 people groups without one verse of Scripture in their language; Asia: 616; Pacific: 404; Americas: 81; Eurasia: 76.

CHILDREN IN CHRIST® 20 COUNTRIES
ACROSS THE “BOTTOM LEDGE” OF THE 10/40 WINDOW

CHILDREN IN CHRIST® effectively ministers in 20 countries at the ‘bottom window ledge’ of the 10/40 Window. This is an area where Traditionalists (Animism, Ancestral), Christians, and Muslims often live within miles or no more than a day’s journey of one another. It is within this area where world faiths mingle and sometimes clash, that CIC is led. This is where the living witness of a transformed life in Christ can soften the resistant hearts of neighbors. This is where local indigenous churches can stretch out of their comfort zone and minister in neighboring regions that need to hear the hope of Christ. This is where whole villages are transformed by Christ and other villages ask, “How did this happen?” and “Can you come here and show us how you did that?” This is a fruitful area of ministry – still open to hear, still hungry for hope, still asking for Truth. And it is a window into reaching beyond these borders to those countries too closed and challenging for most missionaries to go.

WHAT MAKES CIC UNIQUE??

WHAT DO WE DO?

REACH & DISCIPLE CHILDREN

CHILDREN IN CHRIST® ministers to children weekly via CIC Clubs as well as Child Discipleship Trainings. Inspired and equipped indigenous volunteers minister to children in both of these venues.

CIC CLUBS are held in open spaces so that all children are welcome. Clubs include a joyful game time and a hands-on participatory Bible lesson with demos to engage a wide range of ages. The children memorize Scripture and then join in worship and prayer. To read more about the spiritual impact of reaching children for Christ or these activities, go to the dropdown menu “Changes Lives & Nations” or click here to start (Ministers God’s Love to Them)

CHILD LEADERSHIP CAMPS & TRAININGS. CIC offers a wide range of ways to further disciple children and help them grow into Servant Leaders who follow Jesus in their public and private lives.

Biblical teachings relevant to their context, culture, and issues are presented in various venues and formats including, but not limited to: 5-Day Child Leadership Camps, Life Skills Trainings (Peer-Led), Peer-to-Peer Discipling Training, Children in Prayer, and others. CIC also hosts special child events. To read more about the spiritual impact of these discipleship activities, go to the dropdown menu “Changes Lives & Nations” or click here to start (Matures Them in Christ). To read more about the impact children’s transformed lives have on villages and nations, click here (Impacting Villages & Nations)

INSPIRE, DISCIPLE, MOBILIZE INDIGENOUS VOLUNTEERS

We train pastors and lay ministry adults so that they can be inspired by God’s Word on the importance of reaching and maturing children in Christ, as well as equipped to minister to them in a caring, relevant, and engaging way.

PASTORS MOBILIZATIONS are 1-day trainings that teach pastors the scriptural basis for God’s heart for children and how to teach them in a memorable and compelling way. To read more about the spiritual impact of these mobilizations, go to “Changes Lives & Nations” or click here (Values Children)

CLUB MENTOR TRAININGS bring believers nominated & vetted by pastors and community leaders to train for 5 days on the scriptural basis of children’s Kingdom value and how to mentor and minister through a CIC Club. To read more about these trainings and their spiritual impact go to the dropdown menu “Changes Lives & Nations” or click here (Values Children)

VISIT A CIC CLUB THROUGH OUR VIDEO

CIC Club Video: Rain or Shine

Enjoy our 3-minute video of a real CIC Club meeting held in Kibera Slums, Nairobi, Kenya. Kibera Slums is the largest urban slum in Africa. Census data in Kenya is unclear – but estimates range from 200,000 people to 2 million people living in this slum community. Most of Kibera residents live in extreme poverty, earning less than $1.00 per day. High unemployment rates, little education, scarce clean water, disease, AIDS, violence, rape, abuse, etc. are all a daily part of living here.

But if you ever get the chance to meet one of our Kibera Child Leaders (seen in video blowing a balloon) you’ll hear her confidently tell you, “People say, ‘I feel so bad for you because you live in Kibera.’ But I tell them -‘Why? Living in Kibera is a joy because it gives me the best opportunity to show people that life is broken without Jesus. And I get to share His love and His Truth with all these CIC Club children and everyone else I meet.’ I can’t ask for a better life.”
